This Albany Eagle Head Sleigh Coffee Table is modeled from an 1880s horse drawn sleigh. Notice the authentic details on this sleigh – more than famous in the North and the Northeast – beautifully steam bent runners, cast metal “boot” scrapers, the upturned runner “tails”, and the decorative and functional iron supports. The eagle head tips rise to 30" at the top of the steambent runners. The coffee table height is at a standard 20". This coffee table makes a very decorative centerpiece.

Since the mid 1800s, logging sleds would be stacked 10ft high with felled trees and then hooked up to a team of horses to be taken to the mill. Our handcrafted coffee table has solid metal runners, a strong wooden frame and a warm lodge “look”.  It features a natural 'brown' stain finish.

Ski Mirror – Diamond

The “black diamond” mirror is now available in a Natural stain. The skis have been handmade to replicate 1920’s Ridgetop skis with pointed tips. The skis are made using age-old craftsman techniques starting with premium wood selection and then hand planing and shaping the beam into a ski.

The pointed tips have a unique and debated history. Are they for decoration? Are they to help keep the shape of the ski tip? Some had holes in the tips for a wood bar to be used during storage.

The best thinking I’ve heard: After skiers finished for the day, they’d prop their skis in the rack, allowing the rest of the snow on the ski to melt into the pan. Unfortunately, this sped up the rotting process on the tails of the ski. 1920s SOLUTION? Turn the ski upside down (resting on the tips) so only the tips were in the snow melt.
