The “black diamond” mirror is now available in a Natural stain. The skis have been handmade to replicate 1920’s Ridgetop skis with pointed tips. The skis are made using age-old craftsman
techniques starting with premium wood selection and then hand planing and shaping the beam into a ski.
The pointed tips have a unique and debated history. Are they for decoration? Are they to help keep the shape of the ski tip? Some had holes in the tips for a wood bar to be used during
The best thinking I’ve heard: After skiers finished for the day, they’d prop their skis in the rack, allowing the rest of the snow on the ski to melt into the pan. Unfortunately, this sped up the
rotting process on the tails of the ski. 1920s SOLUTION? Turn the ski upside down (resting on the tips) so only the tips were in the snow melt.
